This takhat is from Shekhawati and dates to the 19th century. This piece is made from roheda wood which is a variety of teak and the national wood of Rajasthan. It has developed a wonderful rich patina over the years.

It would make an impressive rustic centerpiece for a living room, conservatory, or summer house.
