Painted Door Mirror From Andhra Pradesh - Late 19th Century

Painted Door Mirror From Andhra Pradesh - Late 19th Century

This ornately carved teak mirror is made from an original Indian doorway from Andhra Pradesh. Its old yellow & green paint will make it an instant focal point of any room. The lintel has a carved lotus flower flanked by two peacocks and floral vines run around the mirror frame.

The door frame dates to the 19th century and has been adapted and fitted with modern mirror glass. As these doors are reclaimed from buildings they're a sustainable way of reusing old building materials.

This mirror is designed to be hung portrait. It can be used as a floor standing mirror, however, we'd always suggest secure fastening to a wall for safety. Wall hangers are supplied.
