Reproduction Elm "Kang" Chinese Low Cabinet - Late 20thC
This elm Kang Cabinet is ideal for use beneath a T.V or sound system and is a reproduction piece made in the Ming style in the 20th century . Original kang cabinets were used beside the Kang which was a raised stone platform used as a bed or lounging area in wealthy homes. Traditionally, this was heated from underneath in the winter.
The brass has had an antique verdigris style finish added.
