Painted Indian Console Table Made From Reclaimed Teak
This Indian console table has been lovingly constructed from reclaimed teak from old Indian buildings that have fallen into disrepair. The central carved panel depicts trailing leaves and is from an old Gujarati door lintel. A deeply carved cursive Gujarati script runs along the bottom shelf framed by matching trailing leaves. The script is the name of the head of the house, Bhai lal bhai Dharam das.
With each carving completely unique, this console table is truly one of a kind. Each piece of wood dates back to the 19th century. Traces of old paint and ritual tika powder can be seen embedded within the carvings which add to its beautiful character.
It is decorative, extremely durable, and environmentally friendly.
