This exceptional two-drawer Mongolian cabinet is an original piece that dates from the early 19th century. The painting and heavy brass fittings are all original. The outline of a brass locking plate can be clearly seen in the center of the cabinet, this would have been secured with a padlock. The front of the cabinet is decorated with painted household objects such as a go board, vases, books, scrolls, an incense burner, and a running dog pattern. The frame has floral themes and double happiness symbols. 

 

The interior of the cabinet is separated by a single shelf.
