This Dansu Chest is from Kyoto - it is made from Kiri (Paulownia Wood) on the front with a Cryptomeria wood case.
The fittings are original beautifully made wrought iron in the traditional style. Normally these chests of drawers are made up of 2 parts - A pair placed one on top of each other- This one has been split from it's pair, hence it's reasonable price - Late Meiji Ca 1907
