This incredibly decorative and large triple mirror has been converted from antique windows from an inner courtyard balcony of an Indian Haveli. Havelis were the stylish homes of the wealthy. Originally these windows would have been covered in pitch, a tar like substance to protect them from weather.
The shape of these arches is a classic Mughal 'mihrab' shape which has its roots in Arabic design.
