Today, they have gained notoriety across the globe for their beautiful, colourful and complex designs and are well known for their quality and durability with the potential for a single rug to last centuries given the right care.
Qashqai Rugs (sometimes called "Kashgai") take their name from the nomadic tribal people of the same name who inhabit the Fars province in Southwest Iran. They migrate between pastures around the Zagros mountains and use wool from their sheep to weave these spectacular rugs.
