Blue Tibetan Saddle Rug - Ca 1920's
This very decorative, Tibetan wool rug was used as saddle rug for a pony but would make a pretty hearth rug in a small cottage. It has a traditional key design around the border and mirrored images of horses tethered to a tree.
It has a little sign of wear around the edges, but the overall condition is very good. Perfect to hang on a wall or for a low traffic room.
In the old days, Pony trains were a common sight on mountain trails. They wended their way along the old silk routes through the Himalayas.
