This Jackfruit mortar comes from the Kulu valley in Himachal Pradesh it was used for pounding millet the staple food of the region. It is carved from a single piece of timber.
Pased down the family from one generation to another, now beautifully patinated by years of continual use.
It is supplied with a 6mm toughened glass top and makes a very useful side table.
