Grain measures were used in markets for measuring wheat, corn, rice and pulses. In the old days it was in either in Seers & Pattis.
This measure was made by the Lohar caste who are itinerant blacksmiths.
This particular measure has the original iron metalwork and binding as well as a beautiful patina.
