This pretty antique coffer table from Shanxi province has beautiful faded pastel tones and is in excellent condition. Remnants of the original paint finish can be seen on the sides and deep carvings on the drawers. This piece is perfect for a smaller room or hallway. It has one large drawer that sits above two smaller ones.
Coffer tables in China had relatively little written about them. They were likely used for clothes and utensil storage by servants.
