This elegant jardinière stand was constructed in the late Qing dynasty - circa 1880 in Canton.  Its four sturdy legs are beautifully carved with fruiting vines and support the top which has a round marble inset, making it perfect for a potted plant or lamp. 

 

These stands are most often constructed from hongmu (rosewood).
