This carved Indian Ganesh panel is a lintel which would have been used above a doorway to a home. It has been salvaged from a building fallen into disrepair in the desert state of Gujarat,
The Hindu elephant god Ganesh in the center is framed by intricately chip carved mandalas. This particular piece dates from the 18th century and would look fabulous on a wall or above a mantle piece.
