Carved Teak Chapatti Board From Banswara Tribal Region - Ca 1920
A beautifully patinated carved teak chapatti rolling board - Circa 90 - 100 yrs old These were also used for food preparation. Oil was kept in the small depression in the handle. These were passed down the family from one generation to another.
This is an exceptionally nice example as either side can be used. The flat side would be used for breads and the reverse with the raised sides for other foods. From Rajasthan.
