This would have originally come from a stone haveli. These were the stylish homes of the wealthy in Rajasthan. There is a large central blossoming lotus flanked by two other smaller ones. As well as the larger examples, the jali effect has been created using numerous small lotus carvings.

The lotus is considered sacred in Buddhism and the Hindu religion and is considered the womb of the universe. It is a recurring motif in Indian design.

Suitable for hanging outdoors or indoors. Supplied with sturdy hangers on the back.
