Polychrome Votive Panel From Andhra Pradesh - 19th Century
This old Indian votive panel is one of the best we've seen of the style. It is unusually polychromed. These panels are found mostly in Andhra Pradesh Circa 80 to 120 years old. These beautifully carved panels were carved from local teak trees by tribal people. They often pasted pictures of their favourite deity inside and these were hung on the walls of village huts. They look great hung on a wall as a group. We have fitted them with a hanger.
