Parrot Lamp Bracket From Gujarat - 19th Century

An old Indian lamp holder from a Kathi home in Gujarat, probably Saurashtra dating to the 19th century. It features a beautifully carved parrot as part of the rotating bracket which has been painted green. A lamp would have been placed on the bracket allowing the light to be directed. 

In Gujarati, these are called Dīvō
