
Carved Bleached Teak Peacock Lintel Panel - 19th Century
This carved antique Indian panel was used as a lintel above a doorway or window. Made from teak, it depicts two beautifully carved peacocks. Traces of old paint are still visible in the deep carving.
This particular piece is from Andhra Pradesh in South India. It dates from the 19th century. and would look fabulous on a wall with accent lighting, or above a mantle.
