This Choksar From Tibet has beautiful and Original Painting - Early 19thC, it is as an esquisite piece. Beautiful colours and fine painting. Ideal for a collector
Tibetan furniture is mostly constructed from cedar or pine and painted in the traditional Tibetan colours, they are often decorated with floral or tantric designs. Choksars are used in front of the family altar as table to read and recite from the long prayer books. Normally a monk would do this on a regular basis for the family. Original antique Tibetan cabinets and Choksars are now quite rare and there are many reproduction pieces made in China coming into the market.
