Our pieces are mostly 19th century & early 20th century
Mongolian Sideboards were usually made from locally sourced wood, normally Elm, Poplar or Pine
These cabinets were used by nomadic people for storage of clothes and bedding or grain. Also used as altar cabinets for family ancestor worship. From Mongolia China.
The front doors have been modified from the original closed front to make it more functional.
It would have originally opened from the top by a hatch.
