This carved teak panel is from Andhra Pradesh in South India. It depicts two beautifully deeply carved peacocks and some floral carvings.
This piece dates from the 19th century and would have been used as a lintel above a doorway or window. It would look fabulous on a wall with accent lighting or above a mantle.
