
Painted Mongolian Kang Low Cabinet - Late 19thC
This green & red painted low 'Kang' table with 3 drawers is from Mongolia and dates to the late 19th century.
They were used beside the kang which was a raised platform used as a bed or lounging area. Kangs were quite often made from stone which was heated from underneath in the winter.
These low cabinets are great for using as an AV unit in a bijou apartment.
