This takhat is from Shekhawati and dates to the 19th century and is constructed from roheda wood, which is a variety of teak and the national wood of Rajasthan.
This table has old carvings in Hindi on one side and colourful lacquer beading runs around the table edge. It's turned and lacquered legs support a beautifully patinaed table top
and would make an impressive rustic centerpiece for a living room, conservatory, or summer house.
