A truly unique piece of art, this floral starburst antique stone jali panel dates from the 18th century and is hand carved. It has clear Mughal influences and has traces of the original lime paint finish.
These panels would have come from stone havelis, the stylish homes of the wealthy. The design of these windows was such that they gave privacy while allowing a cooling breeze to enter the building.
