Carved Teak Window Mirror From Punjab - 18th Century

Carved Teak Window Mirror From Punjab - 18th Century

This exquisite Indian mirror has been created from an old sun-bleached window from Punjab. The quality of carving on this particular mirror is of exceptional quality. In order for rosewood to bleach like this, it takes considerable time, making this window 18th century or earlier. It has been ornately carved in the traditional Mughal style and has aged beautifully. The mihrab arch is carved with delicate flowering peonies and the top panel features an interlaced stylised lotus design. The balcony is carved with a refined jali design allowing the mirror to glisten through the design.

Supplied with sturdy hangers on the back. Although this mirror is heavy, our trained experts can advise you on how to hang on even plasterboard walls.
