Chinese Elm Side Table - 19th Century
This pair of stylish antique Chinese side tables would originally have been coated in a dark lacquer, however, over time, this has mostly worn away on the top to reveal a beautiful elm (榆木 yumu) wood grain covered in a luxurious patina.
This style of table has been produced in China since the Ming dynasty. They are incredibly versatile being used for both stools and side tables.
All finishing is done in our workshops in Wiltshire. Each table is sold separately.
